Suggestions for Choosing the Best Phone Case

Our phones are everything to us in this digital age. This means you must do all in your power to ensure that your cellular lifeline is not compromised.

When you don't have a protective cover on your iPhone, this isn't a simple procedure. As a result, it is critical to choose a case that meets your particular requirements while remaining within your budget.

Use these six recommendations to choose the best phone case for you when you're seeking for the best protection for your phone.

Price Comparison

It's no secret that cases, especially iPhone cases, can be costly. In reality, you will almost never discover the greatest pricing for your favorite phone case on the manufacturer's website.

But it doesn't mean you can't have good quality at the best price. Always compare your preferred cases on Amazon - even if the price difference is minor, it's always worthwhile to compare them side by side.

Examine the customer

Make sure to read the reviews before making a purchase.

This is especially crucial when purchasing from third-party vendors that provide the lowest price but not always the finest quality.

It's also a good idea to check reviews on the case you're thinking about buying to see what other people who bought the case say about its quality and durability. Keep an eye out for what critics have to say about the durability and accessibility. Is it easy to reach all of the ports and buttons on the outside?

Battery Carrying Cases

Nothing is worse than having your battery die just as you're about to reach an outlet.

You'll never have to worry about this with a battery case. These examples were more difficult to come by a few years ago. Many merchants, on the other hand, provide battery cases that are both visually beautiful and thin.

While these are normally more expensive than ordinary cases, you may find that the convenience of this case is worth the extra money.

Screen protectors

The final item you need to decide on is whether or not to acquire a screen protector. Screen protectors are an important must for many people who are prone to mishaps.

Screen protectors are available in a variety of styles. They are often composed of plastic or glass and are put over the real screen. As a result, if something occurs to the front of your phone, the damage will be limited to the protector rather than your valuable screen. We guarantee that this will save you several trips to the glass repair shop!

In conclusion

Use these six steps to discover the right phone cover that allows you to express yourself. With a case, you have the ideal accessory that will also protect your phone from costly mishaps.

My Personal Experience With the Pela Case

In my quest to live a less wasteful and more sustainable life, I'm always looking for methods to cut my plastic use and replace it with eco-friendly plastic alternatives. This is why I eventually changed from a plastic phone cover to an eco-friendly Pela case. In this Pela case review, I'll tell you about my experience using the world's first biodegradable phone cover.

Why Should You Use a Pela Case?

Our phones have become an indispensable component of our daily life. We use them to purchase, get directions, remain connected, and we may even utilize apps to live a more sustainable existence. As a result, we definitely wish to keep them safe by using a phone case.

Unfortunately, what began as an essential item has evolved into a plastic commodity that is stacking up in landfills and clogging our rivers.

I've made a lot of changes to be more environmentally friendly at home, but I never considered my phone cover. That is, until I needed to replace my phone and discovered I was stuck with a plastic case that didn't fit my new phone.

Not only was I unable to reuse my phone cover, but I was also unable to recycle it. I was stuck with a piece of plastic that I had to either save in the hope that it would eventually fit a phone again (which we all know is very improbable) or trash away.

That's when I decided to look for a better solution, and that's when I came across the Pela case – the world's first eco-friendly and biodegradable phone case.

But how long will a biodegradable phone case last? That's what I set out to discover. So I purchased a Pela case to give it a go.

This Pela case review was created to assist you in deciding whether or not to make the transfer.

The First Compostable Phone Case in the World

So, how exactly is a biodegradable phone case created? It's made of Flaxstic, a substance made of flax straw and biodegradable bioplastic elastomer.

These materials are not only certified to satisfy kid safety requirements, but they are also free of BPA, phthalates, cadmium, and lead.

While all of these things are fantastic, the truly wonderful thing comes when you have completed your case. When you receive a new phone and require a new case, the base materials fulfill industrial composting standards. Even better, you can compost the phone case in your own composting environment.

Pela Case's Emotions

So you now understand how the Pela case is constructed. But here's a crucial question: how does the Pela case feel in your hands?

The Pela case is quite pleasant to use. It's pliable and squishy. While it's sleek, it's sticky enough that it won't slip out of your hands like other plastic cases.

How Safe Is the Pela Case?

So now we know what makes Pela cases so eco-friendly, and we also know that Pela cases are comfortable to hold. But here's the most crucial question of all: Are Pela cases long-lasting?

Fortunately, I can answer that question emphatically: YES! In fact, Pela put the phone through a 20-foot drop test, and it passed with flying colors.

While I did not drop my phone from a height of 20 feet, it did slip out of my pocket and strike our concrete driveway once. It has also slipped off my lap and landed on the floor more times than I can count. I'm pleased to say that the Pela case performed an excellent job of safeguarding my phone every time.

What exactly is a pela case?

Pela is an environmentally friendly smartphone case that is biodegradable and constructed from renewable resources. We are now producing protective covers for iPhones, and we will be introducing Samsung smartphones in the next few weeks.

They're manufactured from leftover flax straw. Its qualities are useful in our formulations for shock absorption as well as as a filler to reduce the amount of bio-polymer used; it is also attractive for its aesthetics. The flax straw adds a unique aspect to the smart phone cover, allowing people to notice that this case is unique. As a material, it also increases consumer interest in biopolymers and bioplastics.

When did Pela Case first appear?

I was on vacation on the Hawaiian island of Kauai over Christmas 2009, and I was on a private beach with my wife and my kid, who was a year and a half old at the time. We were digging in the sand and playing when we spotted little shards of plastic all over the place. It came as a surprise that a place of such tremendous natural beauty could be tainted, hampered by a man-made complex.

Looking into plastic garbage in the Pacific further, I discovered the Pacific gyre, which is where all of the plastic in the Pacific converges through the current system. I also began to investigate the qualities and impacts of plastic, such as how it is a linear substance that does not degrade. The discovery of this information prompted me to delve more deeply into the plastic dilemma that we currently confront as a planet.

I also began to investigate biopolymers and bioplastics in greater depth. They were generally used for single-use objects that were exceedingly fragile at the time. I knew I wanted to find a method to incorporate these materials into more typical consumer items.

The second piece of the puzzle was a recollection I'd had since I was ten years old, which presented me with the way to make the product sturdy. I was travelling through the Canadian prairies around harvest season in this reminiscence. We were in my father's huge old white Buick, and as we drove down the interstate at night, we saw the sky was burning orange. As a child, I was astonished and horrified when we went over a hill and saw all the fields on fire. When I asked my father what was going on, he informed me that the farmers were burning their flax straw because the fiber in the straw is so strong that it gets caught up in the machinery and equipment.

In Canada, flax straw is a significant waste product. I remember telling my father that it had to be helpful for something, and he told me that maybe one day when I'm older, I'll discover a purpose for it.

So that's what I did. To make it stronger, I mixed the flax fiber with the brittle Bio-polymer. The sole reason I chose to employ these materials in the phone case market was sheer volume.

Most phone cases on the market today are created in China from non-renewable resources such as crude oil, causing them to endure hundreds of thousands of years if not properly recycled. Because less than 8% of plastic is recycled, I knew I'd be able to make a difference with new material.

When you consider the disposable nature of phone cases, it's easy to see why they're appealing. Most people maintain their phones for roughly two years, so you're left with a protective cover that may possibly outlive the phone five hundred times over, resulting in a very unsustainable market.

100% Compostable and Protective

The Pela Case bills itself as "the world's first 100% biodegradable, eco-friendly phone case." Pela is a firm that developed a phone cover that protects both your phone and the environment, paving the way for a waste-free future.

Pela's environmental claims are credible, the cases are robust but not bulky, and the diversity of patterns and styles offers a wide range of possibilities.

We've put up this Pela Case review to highlight the benefits and downsides of Pela's phone covers, answer common concerns, and even recommend the best eco-friendly phone case alternatives if you're thinking about going "green" with your phone protection.

The Story of Pela, the Company Behind the Phone Case

Pela was launched in 2008 by Jeremy Lang during a family vacation to Hawaii. He couldn't stop seeing the amount of plastic litter on the beaches and on the seas. Jeremy got inspired to find a plastic substitute that could be utilized to produce common things.
