The Benefits of Using a Phone Case

Accidents happen regardless of how cautious you are. Even if you have AppleCare+ or an Android warranty, you might be looking at hundreds of dollars in repairs if you drop your phone and shatter it.

Most individuals are concerned about phone drops since the display might be cracked. Dropping your naked phone on a hard surface, on the other hand, might harm the phone's interior components as well. If additional phone elements are broken, Apple and other phone makers will have to replace the entire phone.

Use a phone cover to alleviate the tension. Spending just $15 on a good cover can prevent you from the high cost of cell phone repairs – or, even worse, having to buy a new phone! In addition, your case might have a purpose greater than merely protecting your phone:

  • Wallet cases enable you to effortlessly keep credit cards, IDs, shopping carts, and other items on your phone, ensuring that you never leave the house without the necessities.
  • Waterproof cases allow you to shoot photos or movies underwater while protecting your phone from accidental submersion.
  • Designed cases, such as a Harry Potter-themed cover or a unique dog image, let you display your individuality.

What kind of case should you get?

There are a few crucial characteristics to look for to offer your pricey phone the protection it deserves:

  • Raised edges: if your phone falls on its face, the screen will not strike the ground because of the raised edges.
  • Shockproof corners: These absorb the impact of drops on your phone case.
  • High toughness: You don't want your phone's case to get damaged or dented every time you drop it!

Everyday usage has accumulated a lot of dirt, germs, and filth on your iPhone. If a case protects your phone, it is also contaminated with the same impurities. Cleaning your phone and patience should be done regularly. Your cleaning routine may vary depending on the type of case you have. Phone Case Care

Cleaning and maintaining your phone case quick and easy.

  1. Take your phone out of its case. It's never a good idea to clean your case while the phone is still inside.
  2. To avoid water getting into the gaps and causing damage, set your phone aside, so it doesn't get wet.
  3. If your iPhone case has one, separate the secondary silicone component from the hard-plastic outer shell.
  4. In a bowl, combine one cup of warm water and a drop of dishwashing soap. If you use too much soap, the mixture will become overly sudsy.
  5. Before dipping a toothbrush or clean cloth into the water, fully mix the soap and water.
  6. Scrub the surface of your iPhone case gently in a circular motion with a moistened toothbrush or cloth. Ensure that all cracks and seams are scrubbed.
  7. Rinse the case components with water and dry them with a soft towel after washing both the hard plastic and soft silicone inside and out.
  8. Allow an hour for the iPhone cover components to air dry before attempting to reassemble your phone. Do not re-insert your phone into your case until it is scorched.

While washing your iPhone cover with soap and water once a month is excellent, you may want to go the extra mile to disinfect it thoroughly. To clean your phone case entirely, follow the steps below:

  1. Take your phone out of the case. If you attempt to disinfect the case while your phone is still inside, the disinfectant may cause harm to internal components.
  2. If you have numerous components in your case, separate them. A soft inner plastic that may be pulled apart is usually present.
  3. Soak a soft cloth in 70% or higher rubbing alcohol for a few minutes. It's critical to use a soft cloth to avoid scratching your casing.
  4. Instead of using the towel, spray the rubbing alcohol straight over the phone if you have access to a sprayer bottle.
  5. Using the alcohol and towel, wipe off all of the components of your phone case.
  6. Both inside and out.
  7. Wipe the rubbing alcohol away with a clean, dry towel. Remove as much alcohol as possible from your system.
  8. Allow the case to dry in the open air for at least an hour before attempting to replace your phone.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is everything you could desire in a smartphone. This high-end smartphone (starting at $1,099) features a 120Hz refresh rate display, the quickest performance of any mobile device, and a long battery life.

But it's the iPhone 13 Pro Max's cameras that set it apart since they're the greatest I've ever seen on a phone. You can take incredibly close-up photos with the ultra-wide camera's new macro mode, film cinematic mode movies with a fascinating bokeh effect, and create your photographic styles.

The camera bulge on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is much more prominent due to the larger sensors, and the overall design is more substantial than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, I like the notch on the 6.7-inch display because it is narrower. If you want all of the same capabilities in a smaller and slightly less costly phone, check out our iPhone 13 Pro review.

Check out our iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 small reviews if you're looking for something more economical and don't require a telephoto lens or a 120Hz display.

While I wish Apple had quicker charging and Touch ID, this is the finest iPhone—and best phone period, as you'll discover in my iPhone 13 Pro Max review.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max's price and release date

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is currently available for purchase, with prices beginning at $1,099 for 128GB of storage. Upgrading to 256GB will set you back $1,199, 512GB will set you back $1,399, and the massive 1TB option will set you back $1,599.

The 128GB iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at £1,049 in the United Kingdom, rising to £1,149 for the 265GB model and £1,349 for the 512GB version. So if you have a lot of cash to spend and need a lot of storage, the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro will cost you £1,549.

If you trade in your old iPhone or another phone, you may save money on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. And we're keeping track of the finest iPhone 13 discounts to help you save money on this expensive Apple phone.

iPhone 13 Pro Max's design and colors

Sierra Blue is our favorite color, with a smaller notch but a touch more weight than the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max has the same flat sides as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it has a distinct appearance. In addition, the camera array is more extensive than before, taking up a little more space at the rear of the phone.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max weighs 8.46 ounces, more than its predecessor's 8.03 ounces. But, considering the new iPhone Pro's longer battery life, I'll let that slide.

On the plus side, Apple reduced the notch size on the iPhone 13 Pro Max's display by 20% while keeping the same important Face ID technology. It's not a full-screen appearance, but it's a step forward over recent iPhones.

My only genuine criticism of the iPhone 13's design is that it lacks Touch ID, both in the power button and beneath the display. It would be good to have an alternate way to quickly unlock our iPhones at a time when many individuals still wear masks in public areas.

Graphite, gold, silver, and Sierra Blue are the four hues available on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. If I were playing with my own money, I would choose the blue model. The graphite variant I tried has a professional look, but it's not as fun.

The display on the iPhone 13 Pro Max

The 120Hz ProMotion display provides smoother performance and animations.

Outdoor reading is easier with a brighter screen.

The new ProMotion display is the most significant enhancement to the iPhone 13 Pro Max's display — and the most significant change overall. This 6.7-inch panel's refresh rate may be dynamically scaled from 10Hz to 120Hz, resulting in smoother overall performance and animations.

When scrolling through The New York Times site with the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max side by side, I found that the text on Apple's newest phone was easier to see when both displays were swiftly scrolled. It simply has a more responsive feel to it.

These advantages apply to other tasks, such as switching programs or returning to the home screen. Apps that use ProMotion, on the other hand, thrill me more. This includes Catalyst Black, a fast-paced online fighting game where I transform into monsters and shoot in all directions. And the whole thing was so smooth.

Specific iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Max applications didn't support 120Hz at first, but the iOS 15.4 update enabled a 120Hz refresh rate for third-party apps.

The improved brightness of the iPhone 13 Pro Max's screen is another bonus. With the adaptive option turned off, we measured an average of 837 nits and 1,038 nits with it turned on. With adaptive off, the iPhone 12 Pro Max averaged 654 nits. The Galaxy S21 Ultra has a maximum brightness of 821 nits.

Even in low-light situations, the iPhone 13 Pro Max displays remarkable detail. For example, while watching the teaser for James Bond: No Time to Die, I could make out every terrifying crack in Rami Malek's changed face.

Cameras on the iPhone 13 Pro Max

More light is let in by new sensors, resulting in brighter pictures.

3x optical zoom, 15x digital zoom, and an enticing macro mode are all available.

There's a reason why the iPhone 13 Pro Max sports an enormous camera array. The primary wide camera is Apple's biggest yet, with 1.9 million pixels (up from 1.7 million) and an f/1.5 aperture, delivering 49 percent more light than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In addition, the ultrawide camera has an enormous f/1.8 gap (compared to f/2.4 on the iPhone 13 Pro Max) for brighter photos and a broader field of vision.

Zooming on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is also improved, as the telephoto lens on the iPhone 13 Pro Max now has a 3x optical zoom, up from 2.5x on the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Aside from the hardware, there are several camera enhancements. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, for example, uses its ultrawide camera to capture photographs from as close as 2 cm away. On a neighboring beach, I had a lot of fun getting up close and personal with this piece of wood. While the iPhone 12 Pro Max struggled to get close, the new iPhone was able to capture every corner and detail.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max also beautifully captured this purple pansy, with rich color and fine details in the petals. And I got up close and personal with the feared spotted lanternfly moving between the rocks; I could see its legs and the delicate lines in its wings.
